If you do not have specifically scheduled meetings or trainings, this time is intended for you to acclimate to the school year and prepare for student arrival. The end of day mirrors your usual working hours, which varies by level.
This time may be used for, among other things:
Completing mandatory trainings
Setting up your classroom/teaching space
Organizing materials (supplies and curriculum)
Lesson planning
Additional meeting time with colleagues (i.e. team, special education, counselors, coach, etc.)
Scheduling support services
Reviewing IEPs, 504s, and Health Care Plans for students
New teacher technology appointments
